Water Board Engineers cry out for fuel, to continue service to public

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Engineers Union of the National Water Supply & Drainage Board have warned that the fuel crisis would affect the supply of water, soon.

In a letter to the President, the union said that the employees at the National Water Supply and Drainage board are committed to ensuring an uninterrupted supply water to all consumer, however, removing the supply of water from the priority of list for fuel will have a negative impact.

The Engineers Union wants the service to be given priority, just as the priority given to the health service in accessing fuel.
