One of Little Rock's best-known yogis has officially opened her own studio in The Heights. Camp Yoga & SUP, with JoAnn Camp at the helm, is now up and running at 5913 Kavanaugh Blvd. in the former She Said Yes location.
Over her eight years of teaching yoga in the metro, Camp has become known not only for traditional classes, but for experiential classes such as stand-up paddle board (SUP) yoga, rooftop yoga and animal-filled sessions.
"After literally floating around for a few years, I wanted to create a physical home space for my community," Camp says. "This studio isn’t only about yoga classes, it’s about connection — sharing energy, building relationships and lifting each other up."
Camp will continue to offer her popular outdoor classes, while the studio will provide a central location to host yoga, pilates and other fitness classes, plus serve as headquarters for Camp's TruYoga Institute instructor training.
To celecelebrate, Camp Yoga & SUP is hosting a couple free community classes this month. Up next is Thursday, Aug. 18, at 5:30 p.m. More on that here.
